Description:
As a Senior Designer in the Web Services team for Corporate Marketing, my duties included overseeing branding and style compliance for web projects, as well as contributing to hands-on design, testing, and deployment of various marketing, product, and social media websites.
Responsibilities:
- Build product showcase micro-sites with HTML & CSS.
- Wireframes, workflows, information architecture, and documentation.
- Create comps, layouts, and specification documents for the engineering team.
- Sony brand representation with third-party websites such as Walmart, CNet, Disney, and Best Buy
- Site build and production, implementation, testing, and deployment for Sony Register, and Sony Jobs.
- Social media research to establish the Sony brand in emerging platforms.
- Design guidance, brand and style guide compliance, graphics creation, and layout for new pages including design flow of various page elements for Sony Electronics Blog and for Vaio Community.
- Sony en Español website design, brand, and style guide compliance. Site build and production, implementation, testing, and deployment. This was a project to target the Hispanic market by incorporating a new website in Spanish, supporting the “La Experiencia Sony” marketing campaign.
- Update the existing Sony en Español website by incorporating a new navigation consistent with SonyStyle.com, as well as integrating elements, consistent with Sony’s “HDNA” marketing campaign.

My contribution to Sony was very valuable. I was promoted to Manager for Web Services Corporate Marketing. And after several months in this role, I chose to step down and return to where my heart is: hands-on design.
